The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) says filling stations across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) will begin reviewing petrol pump prices in the coming days as new petroleum products enter the market.
IPMAN National Publicity Secretary, Chinedu Ukadike, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Abuja.
Ukadike said marketers were preparing to adjust their prices and sales strategies once the new products begin arriving, although no definite date has been confirmed for their availability.
He explained that marketers would review their prices after making fresh purchases, in line with existing regulations.
The development follows recent increases in Dangote Refinery’s gantry, or ex-depot, petrol price from ₦1,165 per litre to ₦1,185, ₦1,200 and ₦1,265 within the past week.
The price increases have already been reflected at several filling stations across the FCT, raising concerns among motorists who are calling on the Federal Government to intervene and help stabilise petrol prices.
