The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has announced a sharp increase in the cost of international passports, a move that will impact millions of Nigerians both at home and abroad.
According to the revised pricing, a 32-page passport with a five-year validity will now cost ₦100,000, up from ₦50,000. Similarly, the 64-page passport with a ten-year validity has doubled in price, rising from ₦100,000 to ₦200,000.
Authorities explained that the adjustment is aimed at enhancing service delivery and sustaining the production of e-passports.
