Isabell Idibia, daughter of Nollywood actress Annie Idibia and Nigerian music icon Innocent “2Baba” Idibia, has opened up about the close relationship between her mother and celebrity stylist, Swanky Jerry.
Isabell made this known during an interview on Yanga FM 89.9 Lagos, where she dismissed suggestions that Annie and Swanky Jerry’s friendship is merely for public appearances.
According to her, the relationship between the actress and the celebrity stylist is genuine and extends beyond social media posts, red-carpet appearances and public events.
“They are actually close; it is not just for the camera. Sometimes they are even on FaceTime. He was at the house some time ago, but I was asleep and couldn’t see him. That is my Uncle Swanky,” Isabell said.

During the interview, Isabell was also asked to identify her favourite song from her father’s extensive music catalogue.
She singled out 2Baba’s hit track, “Nfanga Ibaga,” as her preferred song.
Annie Covers 2Baba Tattoo
Meanwhile, Annie Idibia has reportedly covered up a tattoo dedicated to her former husband, 2Baba.
The development came to public attention following Annie’s recent Instagram posts, in which she revealed that the tattoo bearing “Idibia” on her left chest had been replaced with an image of a butterfly.
The move comes shortly after Annie shared a post reflecting on moving forward from her past relationship.
Annie Addresses Reconciliation Rumours
The development also comes amid renewed speculation about Annie and 2Baba’s relationship.
Rumours of a possible reconciliation surfaced online after an old video of the former couple enjoying themselves at a nightclub was recirculated on social media.
The video sparked speculation among netizens that the estranged couple may have rekindled their relationship, with some social media users going as far as claiming that they were expecting a third child.
However, Annie subsequently took to her Instagram Story to address the claims.
The actress clarified that the video circulating online was an old clip and accused some individuals of spreading false information about her relationship with 2Baba.
Her clarification appeared to put to rest the speculation surrounding an alleged reunion between the former couple.
