Popular Nigerian comedian and streamer, Oderhohwo Joseph Efe, better known as Carter Efe, has revealed that he has no plans to get married.
The 24-year-old content creator made this known during a recent interview with British media personality, Madame Joyce, where he dismissed suggestions that he could change his mind about marriage as he gets older.
Carter Efe, who has a child with his former girlfriend, Emmanuella, said his primary focus is building his career in streaming.
“I am 24 years old. I was born in 2001, but I don’t know why people don’t believe me. I don’t want to get married, and I won’t change my mind with time. I got married to my job. I want to focus on streaming. That is my baby.”
The comedian also weighed in on the recent marriage of fellow content creators Peller and Jarvis, suggesting that pressure from social media users may have influenced their decision to tie the knot.
According to Carter Efe, the internet can exert significant pressure on couples, particularly when followers become heavily invested in their relationships and begin making demands or predictions about their future.
Speaking about Peller and Jarvis’ wedding, he maintained that online pressure was among the factors that pushed the pair towards marriage.
Carter Efe further revealed that, despite his relationship with the content creators, he was not invited to their wedding.
