Former Nigerian international Desire Oparanozie has criticized the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), stating it has failed to do enough to keep the Super Falcons ahead of their African rivals.
Oparanozie, a four-time Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) winner, including the 2018 title, expressed concern that other African nations are catching up with Nigeria in women’s football.
Her remarks come after the Super Falcons began their quest for a record-extending 10th WAFCON title with a 3-0 victory over Tunisia on Sunday.
