Cristiano Ronaldo Set for Urgent Tests After Injury Scare in Al Nassr Win

Superstar forward Cristiano Ronaldo will undergo urgent medical tests to determine the extent of a muscle injury he sustained during Al Nassr FC’s 3-1 victory over Al-Fayha FC at the weekend.

The 41-year-old was forced off with less than 10 minutes remaining after signalling to the bench that he was experiencing discomfort. Ronaldo appeared to struggle as he left the pitch and was later seen with an ice pack strapped to his leg while watching the remainder of the match from the sidelines. The injury has sparked concern among Portuguese fans, with the FIFA World Cup now just three months away. Ronaldo remains a central figure for Portugal, and any extended absence would be a significant blow.

Al Nassr manager Jorge Jesus confirmed that the club’s medical team will act swiftly.

“Ronaldo suffered muscle fatigue and the medical staff will urgently perform the necessary tests to determine his condition,” Jesus said.Earlier in the match, Ronaldo had the opportunity to give Al Nassr the lead in the 12th minute after teammate Mohamed Simakan was fouled inside the box. However, the Portuguese star missed from the spot — marking the 35th penalty miss of his illustrious career.

Despite the setback, Ronaldo’s penalty record remains impressive. He has scored 181 penalties out of 216 attempts, missing just 16.2 percent of his spot-kicks.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner is also closing in on a historic milestone, sitting 35 goals shy of the remarkable 1,000-goal mark in his professional career.

All eyes will now be on the medical update as fans await clarity on the fitness of one of football’s all-time greats.
