The AdvoKC Foundation has published its one-year performance scorecard evaluating Governor Monday Okpebholo’s fulfilment of campaign promises, offering what it describes as an objective and evidence-based assessment of the administration’s progress.

Presenting the report, the Foundation’s Communications Manager, Luqman Adamu, said the initiative—branded as the Okpebholo Meter—was developed to track, compile, and analyze the government’s achievements and ongoing commitments since taking office.

Speaking at the event, the Executive Director of the African Network for Environment and Economic Justice (ANEEJ), David Ugolor, commended the initiative as a timely tool that strengthens civic engagement. He noted that the Okpebholo Meter provides a model for how civil society organizations can hold government accountable through structured, data-driven frameworks.

Ugolor acknowledged that the scorecard shows Governor Okpebholo has made progress in fulfilling certain promises. However, he stressed the need for improved transparency, stronger accountability systems, and more effective budget implementation. He also urged the government to consider public-private partnerships to accelerate key developmental projects across Edo State.

The event drew participants from several ministries, departments, and agencies, underscoring growing interest in collaborative governance and performance monitoring.
