Trump Administration Secures TikTok Deal With China

The Trump administration has announced that an agreement has been reached with China to keep TikTok operational in the United States.

U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent confirmed the framework deal, marking the culmination of a yearslong effort that began during Trump’s first term.

President Trump is expected to speak with Chinese leader Xi Jinping on Friday, September 19, 2025, to finalize the agreement ahead of a planned meeting between both nations.

Speaking in Madrid, Bessent credited Trump’s direct involvement and leverage as instrumental in shaping the terms of the deal. He emphasized that without Trump’s leadership, the agreement with China would not have been possible.
