Popular Nollywood actor, Ibrahim Chatta, is in mourning following the death of his son.
The 54-year-old movie star announced the heartbreaking news on Saturday in a post on his Instagram page, though he did not disclose details about the circumstances of his son’s passing.
Sharing a photo of the late boy, Chatta wrote:
“Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. Ya Allah, You are the Knower of all things. Rest on, Dear son, champ.”

The announcement drew an outpouring of condolences from colleagues, fans, and well-wishers who flooded his comment section with messages of support.
This tragedy comes just days after veteran actress, Peju Ogunmola, also lost her only son, Ayomikun, who died in Ibadan earlier this week at the age of 30.
The back-to-back losses have thrown the Nollywood community into deep grief, with many describing it as a difficult period for the industry.
Chatta had previously opened up about his painful experience of losing his first child, a daughter, years ago. He revealed that financial hardship and inadequate medical care contributed to her death, forcing him to bury her in an old wooden Coca-Cola crate when he could not afford a coffin.
