President Bola Tinubu has called on Nigerians living abroad to contribute their expertise and resources toward consolidating national development and building a more prosperous nation.
The President made the appeal on Thursday at the Kahala Hotel and Resort in Yokohama, Japan, during an interactive session with selected members of the Nigerian community on the sidelines of the ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD).
According to a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the meeting brought together Nigerian professionals and entrepreneurs across diverse fields. Tinubu highlighted the achievements of his administration so far and assured the audience of his commitment to driving sustainable economic growth.
He expressed delight at engaging with what he described as a “vibrant representation of Nigeria’s diversity,” assuring the Diaspora community that his government is determined to create a conducive environment for all citizens.
The President also noted improvements in passport issuance, stressing that the process has now become seamless for both residents in Nigeria and those in the Diaspora.
Reaffirming his administration’s priorities, Tinubu said his government is committed to ensuring that every Nigerian feels the positive impact of ongoing reforms.
