Vice President Kashim Shettima on Thursday led a high-powered federal government delegation to Okene, Kogi State, to commiserate with Governor Usman Ododo on the passing of his father, Ahmed Ododo.
Shettima, who was accompanied by Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Zulum, and the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Abubakar Kyari, delivered President Bola Tinubu’s condolences to the Ododo family and the people of Kogi State.
According to a statement issued by Stanley Nkwocha, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Communications (Office of the Vice President), the Vice President said the visit was on behalf of President Tinubu to extend sympathy over the demise of the patriarch, Ahmed Ododo.
In his remarks, Governor Ododo expressed deep appreciation for the visit, describing the gesture as a source of strength and comfort to his family during the period of mourning.
