Inter Milan have stepped up their pursuit of Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman, but their latest offer has been turned down by Atalanta.
According to transfer reports, the Nerazzurri submitted a fresh bid worth £40 million, with an additional £5 million in performance-related add-ons. However, Atalanta swiftly rejected the proposal, holding firm on their valuation of the 26-year-old.
Sources close to the negotiations reveal that La Dea is demanding at least €50 million before they consider parting ways with the in-form winger.
Lookman, who played a pivotal role in Atalanta’s successful 2023/24 campaign, is reportedly eager to join Inter and has already agreed personal terms with the Serie A champions.
Inter Milan is keen to finalise the deal before the close of the week, as they continue to reinforce their squad ahead of the new season.
