Youth Urged to Embrace Focus, Self-Development, and Authentic Leadership at Eagles Assembly Conference

Youths have been advised to remain focused and channel their time, energy, and resources into self-emancipation and development for a greater tomorrow.

The call was made at the Eagles Assembly Conference, convened by Blazing Generation Initiative (BGI), a non-governmental platform dedicated to reengineering the minds of young people for transformative leadership.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Valentine Ozigbo, industrialist and former governorship aspirant, encouraged youths to seek God’s guidance while conducting thorough research before choosing mentors. He stressed that emotional intelligence is a master key to resilience and success, urging young people to stay focused despite challenges.

“Seek Him first and every other thing will be added unto you. To find a mentor, conduct research and learn from their experiences. Hard work pays; stay resilient,” Ozigbo said.

He further reflected on his political journey, alleging that his ambition had been frustrated in both the PDP and Labour Party, but affirmed that his decisions were guided by divine direction.

Arizechukwu Anaegbunam, Convener of BGI, described the initiative as a movement to birth change, reshape mindsets, and raise a new generation of informed and refined leaders. He emphasized that young people must be equipped to champion transformation in every sphere of society.

Other speakers, including Benjamin Oyekunle, Ekenechukwu Nwosu, Monalisa Eke (Lady Soldout), and the FIDA State Chairperson, Uche Udego, highlighted themes of branding, legal responsibility in business, mindset transformation, and the rejection of the “get-rich-quick” syndrome.

The conference reinforced the message that authenticity, diligence, and lawful engagement remain the surest paths for youths to achieve lasting impact and success.
