U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held their second meeting on Tuesday to discuss the ongoing conflict in Gaza. The talks followed remarks by Trump’s Middle East envoy, Steve Witkoff, who indicated that Israel and Hamas had only one unresolved issue preventing a 60-day ceasefire agreement.
The two-hour meeting between Trump and Netanyahu also coincided with Netanyahu’s separate discussion with Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson. Speaking afterward, Netanyahu stated that Israel’s military campaign in Gaza is not yet over, though negotiations for a ceasefire are actively underway.
