The Senate Minority Leader, Senator Patrick Abba Moro, has been thrown into mourning following the loss of two close family members in quick succession.
Reports indicate that Senator Moro first lost his grandson, and barely 24 hours after the young boy’s burial, tragedy struck again with the death of his son, Victor.
Victor, who had recently completed his studies in Turkey, had returned to Nigeria to participate in the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme. He was reportedly involved in a fatal motor accident along the Mararaba axis in Nasarawa State.
According to family sources, the accident occurred while he was travelling from the family home to attend to personal matters.
Victor was one of Senator Moro’s children from his marriage to Mrs. Veronica Moro.
