Tinubu Mourns Victims of Adamawa Flood, Niger Boat Mishap, Commends Emergency Responders

President Bola Tinubu has expressed deep sorrow over two tragic incidents that occurred in Adamawa and Niger States.

In a statement issued on Monday, the President extended heartfelt condolences to the families affected by severe flooding in Yola, Adamawa State. He also mourned the victims of a deadly boat mishap in Guni village, Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State, describing both events as heartbreaking.

President Tinubu commended the swift efforts of emergency responders — including local divers, volunteers, and community leaders — for their dedication to saving lives despite facing limited resources.

He acknowledged that flooding is a growing global concern worsened by climate change, but warned that human negligence often exacerbates its impact.

The President further praised the emergency management agencies in both states for their courage and timely response in the face of adversity.
