Nigerian singer Terry G has voiced his displeasure after being excluded from Billboard’s recently released Top 50 Best Afrobeats Songs of All Time list.
Despite his catalogue of chart-topping hits such as “Akpako Master”, “Free Madness”, and “Run Mad”, none of the tracks made it into the ranking.
The list crowned 2Face Idibia’s timeless classic “African Queen” as number one, while other iconic songs like Timaya’s “Dem Mama” and Olu Maintain’s “Yahooze” also featured prominently.
Reacting to Chart Data’s post confirming “African Queen” as the top entry, Terry G said he felt “robbed” by the omission, sparking mixed reactions online.
While some fans agreed that his unique sound and contributions to Afrobeats deserved recognition, others argued that the exclusion was justified.
