Super Falcons Cruise Past Tunisia 3-0 in WAFCON Opener

Nigeria began their pursuit of a record 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title with a dominant 3-0 win over Tunisia in Casablanca.

Asisat Oshoala gave the Super Falcons an early lead in the fourth minute, capitalizing on a low, curling free-kick from Rinsola Babajide and finishing amid a goalmouth scramble.

Babajide, who switched allegiance from England to Nigeria in 2023, added a second in first-half stoppage time, firing past goalkeeper Soulaima Jobrani to net her first goal at a senior international tournament.
