Shock as Young Child Allegedly Brings Knife to Reception Class — Pupils Left ‘Shaken’
Parents have been left stunned by the disturbing revelation.
Police were called to Trumpington Meadows Primary School in Cambridgeshire last week after a young pupil was found with a knife in their bag during a reception class.
Concerned parents have since spoken out about the alarming incident. A concerned mother, whose child was present during the incident, said the image of the “vegetable knife” has haunted her son since last Wednesday.

Speaking to Cambridgeshire Live, she growled: “This isn’t something any child should have to think about.
“He’s been asking me all sorts of questions — it’s affected him mentally.
“On Thursday morning, the first thing he asked me was, ‘Mummy, will there be knives at school today?'”Trumpington Meadow headteacher, Ollie Monro, stated that the school is cooperating closely with police to ensure the safety of all students.
He said:
“On Wednesday, a small vegetable knife was found in a young pupil’s bag on school grounds.
“Although we believe there was no harmful intent, we fully recognise that this may raise concerns among parents and the wider community.
“The safety and wellbeing of every child remains our top priority.
“A parent shared with us that, when she woke her son on Thursday morning, he asked, ‘Mummy, will there be knives at school today?’”
