The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the postponement of its 103rd National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, earlier scheduled to hold on Wednesday, October 15.
In a statement issued on Monday in Abuja, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, said a new date for the meeting would be communicated to members in due course.
According to Ologunagba, the decision to postpone the meeting was approved by the National Working Committee (NWC) during an emergency session held on Monday. He explained that the move was necessitated by recent developments within the party.
He added that the NWC acted in line with its powers under Section 29 (2)(b) of the PDP Constitution (as amended in 2017).
“All NEC members should please note the postponement and be guided accordingly,” Ologunagba stated.
