The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that over 4.4 million Nigerians have pre-registered online for the ongoing nationwide voter registration exercise.
According to INEC, the milestone was achieved just four weeks after the exercise commenced on August 18, 2025.
National Commissioner, Sam Olumekun, assured that the Commission remains committed to ensuring a seamless and inclusive registration process ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Data from the pre-registrants shows that 51.83 percent are female, 48.17 percent male, while 65.79 percent fall within the 18–34 age bracket.
INEC further disclosed that 509,929 Nigerians have completed full registration, with the details already available on its official website.
