The Director General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Lanre Issa-Onilu, has restated Nigeria’s dedication to sustained civic reorientation as a cornerstone for national development. He emphasized that attitudinal change, value reawakening, and responsible citizenship remain central to the country’s long-term progress.
Speaking at the 2025 African Investment Showcase in London, Issa-Onilu delivered a keynote address titled “Africa’s New Frontier: Strategic Investment in a Dynamic Landscape.” He described the gathering as a defining moment for Africa, urging a strategic repositioning that goes beyond economic reforms to include ideological renewal.
The DG stressed that Africa’s investment potential should not be measured only by infrastructure and capital inflows but also by the resilience of its institutions and the public trust they inspire.
Highlighting Nigeria’s progress under President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, Issa-Onilu pointed to the Nigerian Identity Project—an ambitious civic reawakening initiative designed to redefine what it means to be Nigerian in the 21st century.
The event attracted global leaders, including Prime Minister of the Bahamas Philip Davis, executives from NEXIM Bank, the Commonwealth Secretariat, international arbitration bodies, and key stakeholders from the UK, Japan, and the Caribbean.
