Netanyahu Regrets Deadly Strike on Gaza’s Only Catholic Church

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has expressed deep regret following an Israeli military strike that hit Gaza’s only Catholic church, the Holy Family Church, killing three people who were sheltering inside.

According to reports, the strike occurred on Thursday in Gaza City, also injuring several others. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that an initial investigation suggests fragments from a shell fired during nearby operations may have unintentionally struck the church.

Netanyahu confirmed that the incident is under review and emphasized Israel’s commitment to protecting civilians and safeguarding religious sites.
