Chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriations, Senator Solomon Adeola, has emphasized the National Assembly’s responsibility to ensure that all parts of the country benefit from national development.
Speaking at the 2nd Annual Retreat of the Remo Traditional Council in Sagamu, Ogun State, on Sunday, Adeola—who represents Ogun West Senatorial District—delivered a lecture titled “The Role of the Legislature in Shaping a Holistic Budget for Nigeria.”
He noted that the National Assembly uses the budget as a tool to promote equitable development across all regions, stressing that the budget goes beyond figures—serving as a vital policy instrument aimed at advancing the welfare and interests of all Nigerians.
