Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has sent a heartfelt farewell message to teammate Luis Diaz following the Colombian’s move to Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.
Diaz officially completed his transfer to the German champions, signing a four-year deal that ends his three-and-a-half-year stint at Anfield. During his time with the Reds, the 27-year-old winger won four major trophies, including the Premier League title.
In his farewell remarks, Diaz expressed deep gratitude to the club and fans, though he admitted the circumstances surrounding his departure were bittersweet. He revealed that the death of teammate Diogo Jota earlier in July cast a shadow over what would have been the perfect send-off.
Mohamed Salah took to social media shortly after the announcement, thanking Diaz for his contributions and wishing him success in the next chapter of his career.
Diaz now joins a formidable Bayern side as they continue to strengthen their squad ahead of the upcoming season.
