Jackie Chan Debunks Death Hoax After AI-Generated Image Sparks Online Confusion

Social media was thrown into disarray after false reports claiming that legendary actor Jackie Chan had died began circulating widely on Facebook and other platforms.

The rumour gained traction following the appearance of an AI-generated image depicting the 71-year-old actor lying in a hospital bed, accompanied by fake “RIP” captions and fabricated death dates, according to Daily Mail.

Concerned fans quickly took to Google to verify the claims, pushing search queries such as “Did Jackie Chan die?” and “Jackie Chan death” to the top of global trends.

However, reliable sources have confirmed that Chan is alive and in good health. The actor has been publicly active this year, appearing in several films and attending promotional events.

Even Grok, the AI chat system developed by X (formerly Twitter), flagged the rumour as false, assuring users that the Hong Kong-born superstar is “alive and well.”

This is not the first time Chan has been targeted by online death hoaxes. A similar AI-edited image falsely announcing his passing circulated in August.

Chan currently has several projects in development, including Karate Kid: Legends and the long-rumoured Rush Hour 4.
