The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the extension of the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise in Anambra State.
This decision was made during INEC’s regular weekly meeting held on Thursday, where the Commission reviewed preparations for the upcoming off-cycle governorship election in the state and received updates on applications from new political parties seeking registration.
INEC expressed satisfaction with the impressive turnout of prospective voters and the peaceful conduct of the registration exercise across all 326 designated centres in Anambra. According to the Commission, a total of 96,085 new voters have been successfully registered within just nine days of the ongoing exercise.
