My good people of Edo State,
Today, we gather to celebrate Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary—a day of pride, reflection, and renewed hope. It is a moment to remember the courage and sacrifices of our founding fathers, who fought with vision and determination to give us a free nation.
Since assuming office less than a year ago, I have carried one simple promise in my heart: to serve, not to rule. Together, we are rebuilding Edo State into a land of peace, opportunity, and progress.
We have taken bold steps to secure our communities, rebuild our roads, upgrade schools and hospitals, and create opportunities for our vibrant youth. This is just the beginning, but it proves that Edo is moving forward.
We remain grateful to our President and Commander-in-Chief, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his unwavering commitment to repositioning Nigeria. His Renewed Hope Agenda is steering our nation toward economic stability and growth.
In just two years, his administration has ended the chaos of long fuel queues and dismantled the corrupt subsidy rackets that drained our national wealth. Today, states no longer wait endlessly for bailouts before paying salaries. That era is gone, and for this, we say: Mr. President, Edo stands with you.
Fellow compatriots, independence is not only freedom from foreign rule—it is the call to unity, teamwork, and collective progress. As Edo people, we must remember that we can achieve more when we stand together.
To our youths and children—the heartbeat of this state—never give in to despair. Your energy, creativity, and resilience are the key to a brighter future. This government will continue to invest in you.
My message today is simple:
👉 A New Edo Has Risen.
👉 A New Nigeria Has Risen.
With courage and dedication, nothing can stop us.
Happy Independence Day! May God continue to bless Edo State and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Long live Edo State. Long live Nigeria.
Thank you.
