Governor Okpebholo Flags Off Construction of Second Flyover Bridge in Benin City

Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has officially flagged off the construction of a second flyover bridge in Benin City, located in the Edo South Senatorial District.

The project, sited at the Adesuwa–Sapele Road intersection, is part of the government’s strategic infrastructure drive aimed at improving road connectivity, easing traffic congestion, and enhancing economic activities across the state.

In a statement, the Edo State Government appealed to residents, motorists, and other road users to cooperate with contractors and government officials working on-site.

“Edo State Government wishes to inform the general public that construction work has commenced on the second flyover project at Adesuwa Road Junction, along Sapele Road, Benin City. Residents, motorists, and other road users are kindly advised to cooperate with contractors and government officials on site, adhere to all traffic diversion signs, and make use of alternative routes during the construction period,” the statement read.

The government assured that it remains committed to delivering key infrastructural projects that will drive sustainable development and improve the overall transportation network within the state.
