Fulham Rejects Atletico Madrid’s $21.5M Bid for Alex Iwobi

Fulham have turned down a $21.5 million bid from Spanish giants Atletico Madrid for Nigerian midfielder Alex Iwobi, according to the DTOWNCRIER MEDIA.
As reported by Africa Foot, Atletico Madrid offered the 29-year-old a four-year contract with an annual salary of €7 million.
While Iwobi was reportedly open to making the move to Spain, Fulham remains firm on keeping one of their key players and has no intention of selling.
Atletico Madrid has identified Alex Iwobi as a potential replacement for Belgian winger Yannick Carrasco.
Iwobi impressed for Fulham last season, scoring 10 goals and providing six assists in 38 appearances. The versatile midfielder also made history by becoming the first Nigerian to feature in all 38 Premier League games in two separate seasons.
He finished second in Fulham’s Player of the Season voting, just behind his international teammate, Calvin Bassey.
