Former WWE Star Sir Mo Dies at 58

Former WWE star Sir Mo, real name Robert Horne, has passed away at the age of 58.

Horne, best known as one half of the Men on a Mission tag team alongside Mabel (later known as Viscera), competed in the WWE from 1993 to 1996. The duo captured the WWE Tag Team Championship, marking Horne’s only title win in the company.

According to reports, Horne had been battling pneumonia and a severe blood infection for several weeks. He spent eight weeks in intensive care, receiving round-the-clock treatment before his death. His wife, Denise Horne, remained by his side throughout his hospitalization, sharing updates on his condition.

The news of his passing was confirmed by retired wrestler Leilani Kai, who paid tribute to Horne in a heartfelt Facebook post.

“It breaks my heart to hear that Bobby Horne, better known to wrestling fans as Sir Mo of Men on a Mission, has passed away,” she wrote.

“He was always kind, always smiling, joking around, and treating everyone with respect. When you were new or didn’t quite fit in yet, Bobby had a way of making you feel welcome.”

“He loved the business, loved the fans, and loved giving back. Bobby had that special kind of warmth that reminded you wrestling isn’t just about what happens in the ring — it’s about the people and memories that come with it. Rest in peace, my friend.”

Horne remained active in the wrestling community after his WWE career, frequently appearing on the independent circuit and mentoring younger talent.

He is survived by his wife, Denise.
