Erigga Speaks on Polygamy: “It Causes More Harm Than Good”
Nigerian rapper, Erigga, has opened up about his stance on polygamy, describing it as a practice that brings more harm than good, particularly to women and children.
Speaking during an interview with Yanga FM Lagos, the rapper explained that his views are shaped by personal experience, having been raised in a polygamous household.
“I’m trying not to be like my father. I don’t like polygamy. One person always gets hurt, and it’s usually the woman. There’s never a polygamous situation where the man suffers — it’s always the women and the kids,” Erigga said.
He urged men to choose monogamy instead, calling it a simpler and more peaceful option that fosters harmony within families.
