The Edo State Government has announced a minor re-assignment of key officials in the state’s revenue sector, approved by Governor Monday Okpebholo, aimed at strengthening the state’s revenue drive.
As part of the changes, Mr. Odior John Osirenimhe, the current Chairman of the Edo State Audit Service Commission, has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Edo State Internal Revenue Service (EIRS), succeeding Hon. Otunba Oladele Bankole-Balogun, who resigned to pursue political aspirations in the forthcoming elections.
Mr. Idiake Patrick Akhimien, formerly an Executive Director at EIRS, has been reassigned as Chairman of the Edo State Audit Service Commission, while Mr. Victor Oamen Enemare takes over his previous role at EIRS.
The re-assignments and appointments take immediate effect.
