Edo Govt Offers Free Hepatitis Tests, Vaccines to Staff in Fight Against Silent Killer

As part of activities marking World Hepatitis Day, the Edo State Government House Clinic conducted free Hepatitis B and C screening and vaccination for staff last Monday.

The exercise was overseen by Dr. Precious Ogboru, Special Adviser on Health Matters to the Executive Governor of Edo State.

A large number of political appointees and civil servants turned out for the event, receiving tests and vaccines. The impressive participation reflected growing awareness and a welcome decline in stigma surrounding hepatitis.

This initiative demonstrates Edo State Government’s commitment to global efforts to break the silence, eliminate stigma, and remove barriers linked to this life-threatening disease.

For those who missed the free testing, it’s not too late. Take the first step today: know your status, protect your liver, and safeguard your life.

Hepatitis is often symptomless until it causes serious liver damage. But with early detection, it can be managed, treated, and even prevented.

Healthy Edo is a Rising Edo.
