The Edo State Government has assured residents that all ongoing road construction, erosion control projects with underground drainages, and the two flyover bridges being executed by the administration of Governor Monday Okpebholo in Edo South Senatorial District will be completed and commissioned within record time.
The assurance was given by the Commissioner for Works, Hon. Dr. Felix Ehiguese Akhabue, during an inspection tour of major infrastructure projects across the district.
Akhabue said the state government is working round the clock to ensure steady progress at all construction sites currently spread across the state. He described the projects as “legacy initiatives” aimed at improving connectivity, flood control and overall urban development.
Speaking to journalists at the end of the tour, the commissioner disclosed that over 250 kilometres of roads are currently under construction across Edo State.
