Edo Deputy Governor Dennis Idahosa Named Among Africa’s 100 Most Notable Peace Icons
Edo State Deputy Governor, Dennis Idahosa, has been honored as one of Africa’s 100 Most Notable Peace Icons. The recognition took place during the prestigious 100 Most Notable Africans Leadership and Business Summit, recently held in Kigali, Rwanda.
Idahosa was celebrated alongside other distinguished Africans, including Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi; CEO of African Global Health, Morocco, Imane Kendili; Regional Director at the Institute of Human Virology (University of Maryland School of Medicine), Nicaise Ndembi; and Ibrahim Zanna.
Kingsley Amafibe, the project director for Africa, stated that the award aims to inspire recipients to continue using their platforms to promote peace, unity, and development across the continent. He emphasized that Africa’s advancement is closely tied to sustained peace and collaboration among its people.
The summit gathered influential figures from politics, business, health, and academia, highlighting the importance of cross-sector partnerships in building a stable and prosperous Africa.
