The Danish government has summoned the United States ambassador in Copenhagen following revelations that American operatives allegedly attempted to influence public opinion in Greenland.
According to an investigation by Denmark’s public broadcaster DR, at least three Americans with links to former U.S. President Donald Trump were involved in activities designed to sway Greenlandic sentiment.
The disclosure has reignited diplomatic unease, particularly as Trump previously floated the idea of purchasing Greenland during his presidency.
Danish officials said they are monitoring the situation closely, stressing their commitment to safeguarding the sovereignty of the Arctic territory.
