Superstar footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly left Saudi Arabia in the middle of the night amid rising tensions in the region. The 41-year-old’s £61 million Bombardier Global Express private jet departed Riyadh at 8:00 p.m., arriving in Madrid close to 1:00 a.m., according to flight tracking data.
Riyadh, where Ronaldo lives with his partner Georgina Rodriguez and their five children, has come under attack as the conflict between Iran, the United States, and its allies intensifies. Iranian state media claimed a command and staff building in Bahrain had also been destroyed, while the US embassy in Saudi Arabia was reportedly hit by two drones overnight.
Flight tracking platforms showed Ronaldo’s jet taking a route over Egypt and the Mediterranean en route to Spain. The move follows warnings from the US State Department urging Americans to leave more than a dozen Middle Eastern countries due to security risks, with thousands of foreign nationals scrambling to exit the region amid widespread flight disruptions.
