Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua is continuing his recovery with intensive rib treatment months after surviving a devastating car crash in Nigeria.
The 36-year-old boxer was involved in the tragic accident on December 29, just ten days after defeating Jake Paul in Miami. While Joshua survived the crash, two of his close associates lost their lives — his childhood friend and personal trainer, Kevin Ayodele, popularly known as “Latz,” and his long-time recovery therapist, Sina Ghami.Since the incident, Joshua has been undergoing steady rehabilitation as he works toward full fitness. The British-Nigerian fighter recently shared images on Snapchat showing what appeared to be painful rib therapy sessions as part of his recovery programme.
“Rehabilitation protocol. When you go thru certain things, you realise that you are stronger than you think you are,” he wrote.Ayodele had been a key figure in Joshua’s inner circle for years, serving as both a friend and trainer, while Ghami played a critical role in overseeing the boxer’s physical conditioning and recovery throughout his career.
Despite the emotional and physical toll of the tragedy, Joshua remains focused on rebuilding his strength and returning to peak condition as he plots his next move in the heavyweight division.
