Akpabio Leads National Assembly Delegation to Daura for Buhari’s Condolence Visit

Senate President Godswill Akpabio led a delegation from the National Assembly to Daura, Katsina State, on Wednesday to condole with Governor Dikko Radda over the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari.

During the visit, Akpabio paid glowing tribute to the late leader, describing him as “a patriot, a man of integrity, and a shining light who served Nigeria both as a military ruler and as a democratically elected president.”

He also revealed that the delegation encountered travel difficulties the previous day, as their flight was unable to land due to airport closure, forcing the aircraft to hover for over two hours before diverting to Abuja.

Reflecting on Buhari’s legacy, Akpabio — who once served as a minister in his cabinet — said the late president would be remembered for his discipline, humility, and unwavering love for Nigeria.
