President of the Confederation of African Athletics (CAA), Hamad Kalkaba, has announced that African athletes will soon benefit from international scholarships and expanded training opportunities through strategic collaborations with sports institutions worldwide.
Speaking during a press conference at the conclusion of the third African Under-18 and Under-20 Athletics Championships in Abeokuta, Kalkaba emphasized the CAA’s commitment to nurturing talent across the continent, particularly in under-resourced countries.
He revealed that the CAA currently operates training centers in Nigeria, Kenya, and Senegal — nations renowned for their athletics success — and is actively working to establish more centers across other African regions.
