The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has revealed plans to launch a mobile application as part of its broader efforts to modernize its operations, improve digital access for members, and foster stronger global engagement within the Nigerian film industry.
AGN President, Emeka Rollas, announced the initiative in a statement issued on Thursday in Lagos.
The mobile app is set to be officially unveiled on June 28, coinciding with the inauguration of the guild’s new national secretariat.

“This is not just an app or an office; it’s about building a future-ready AGN,” Rollas said, emphasizing the goal of improving member access to services and enhancing public engagement.
“We’re giving our members digital access and recognition while opening our doors to the world through innovation, accountability, and collaboration,” he added.

Rollas described the app as a bridge between Nollywood and its global audience.
“The AGN mobile app reflects our commitment to reform and our desire to build a stronger connection between the industry and its fans,” he said. “It’s our digital handshake to the world.”

According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the app offers a range of features designed to support actors and engage fans:

About the AGN
Founded in 1998, the AGN is the official body representing professional screen actors in Nigeria’s film industry. Headquartered at the National Theatre in Lagos and led by President Emeka Rollas since 2017, the guild has over 2 million registered members across 36 states, making it the largest actors’ association in Africa.
Under Rollas’ leadership, the AGN is introducing a new licensing system for actors to promote professionalism, enhance compensation, and provide better protections within the industry.
