Rangers Get Afrinvest Fan Boost Ahead of NPFL Title Showdown

Rangers International F.C. have received a major morale boost ahead of their decisive Nigeria Premier Football League title clash against Ikorodu City F.C. as Afrinvest West Africa unveiled a special fan engagement campaign for supporters.

The NPFL title-deciding encounter is scheduled for 4pm on Sunday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, where Rangers are aiming to secure a record-extending ninth league title.

To galvanise support for the Enugu-based club, Afrinvest West Africa, the club’s official jersey sponsor, announced that 300 match tickets, 200 jerseys and other gift items would be distributed to fans ahead of kickoff.

According to the company, the first 100 Rangers supporters to arrive at the stadium on matchday will receive special gift packages after completing registration through an online link provided by Afrinvest.

Group Managing Director of Afrinvest West Africa, Ike Chioke, said the initiative was aimed at rewarding loyal supporters while driving strong attendance for the crucial fixture.

“The gifts include 300 tickets, 200 jerseys, and special gift items for the first 100 Rangers FC fans to arrive at the 10,000-capacity Mobolaji Johnson Arena on matchday,” Chioke stated.

He also called on Rangers supporters in Lagos and beyond to rally behind the club, highlighting the team’s rich football heritage built by legends such as Emmanuel Okala, Christian Chukwu, Adokiye Amiesimaka, Austin Jay-Jay Okocha and John Utaka.

The fan campaign is part of a three-year partnership signed in October 2023 between Afrinvest and Rangers, focused on improving the club’s administration, player welfare and medical support systems.

The collaboration has coincided with Rangers’ resurgence, including their 2023/24 NPFL title triumph — their first league success in eight years.

Rangers currently lead the NPFL standings with 65 points and have already booked a place in next season’s CAF Champions League. A win against Ikorodu City in Lagos will confirm them as league champions regardless of results elsewhere.
