American music mogul Sean Combs, popularly known as Diddy, is now scheduled for an earlier release from prison following an adjustment to his sentence.
The 56-year-old was initially due to regain his freedom on June 4, 2028, but his release date has reportedly been moved forward to April 25, 2028, according to Page Six.
Combs is currently serving a four-year sentence after being convicted on sex trafficking and racketeering charges. His revised release date comes as he continues efforts to appeal the sentence.
The adjustment followed his acceptance into a drug rehabilitation programme last November, a development that reportedly qualified him for a reduction in his time behind bars.
This is not the first change to his projected release date. Combs, who is being held at the Federal Correctional Institution in Fort Dix, New Jersey, previously saw his release pushed back from May 8 to June 4, 2028, after alleged infractions during the early stages of his incarceration in late 2025.
Reports had claimed that he consumed a homemade alcoholic mixture and participated in an unauthorized three-way phone call. Sources cited by TMZ alleged he drank a fermented concoction made from Fanta, sugar and apples.
However, representatives for the founder of Bad Boy Entertainment denied the allegations. In a statement posted on his X account, they described the claims as false.
“The rumors claiming Mr. Combs was caught with alcohol are completely false,” the statement read, adding that his primary focus remains personal growth and reuniting with his family upon release.
