The Chief of Staff to the Edo State Governor, Hon. Yakubu O. Musa, JP, on Tuesday conducted a familiarisation tour of key departments within the Edo State Government House, following an earlier interactive meeting with staff members held on Friday, February 6, 2026.
The tour was aimed at deepening engagement with departments under the Governor’s Office and strengthening coordination to enhance effective service delivery. It also served as a follow-up to discussions held during the recent meeting with staff.
Speaking during the tour, Hon. Musa said the exercise was necessary to consolidate outcomes from the earlier engagement and foster closer working relationships with personnel across the various units. He described the visit as a deliberate and strategic effort to gain firsthand insight into the operations of departments under the Governor’s Office.
According to him, effective governance thrives on collaboration, synergy and a shared sense of purpose. He noted that the familiarisation tour was essential as the administration works collectively to strengthen institutional efficiency, improve service delivery and advance the vision of Governor Monday Okpebholo for a responsive, efficient and people-centred government in Edo State.
During the visit, the Chief of Staff interacted with staff across several units to better understand their responsibilities, challenges and expectations.
He was accompanied by the Permanent Secretary, Government House and Protocol, Mrs. E. I. Sede; the Director of Shared Services, Government House and Protocol, Mrs. Caroline; the Public Relations Officer, Governor’s Office, Jimoh Akande; as well as other senior officials.
Departments visited during the tour included the Press Unit, Gold Mine, Drivers’ Unit, Government House Stores, Medical Unit, Police Kitchen and the Office of the Special Advisers, covering areas such as Health, Projects and others.
The follow-up tour underscores the Chief of Staff’s commitment to hands-on leadership, teamwork and efficient coordination in advancing the programmes and priorities of the Okpebholo administration.
