The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna State has announced the suspension of its State Secretary, Sa’idu Adamu, over allegations of gross misconduct and anti-party activities.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Monday in Kaduna by the State Publicity Secretary, Maria Dogo.
According to the statement, the decision was reached by the State Working Committee and subsequently ratified by the State Executive Committee during a meeting held at the party’s secretariat. The party explained that the action is in line with the provisions of Articles 58(1)(h) and 57(3) of the PDP Constitution (2017, as amended).
The suspension takes immediate effect and will last for one month, pending the outcome of investigations and further decisions by the party. During this period, Adamu is barred from participating in any party activities at all levels.
“The PDP wishes to assure its members and the general public that the party remains firmly committed to upholding internal discipline, fairness, and justice under the leadership of the State Chairman, Edward Masha,” the statement read.
It added that the move is part of ongoing efforts by the State Working Committee to strengthen the party’s structures and ensure accountability across all levels.
