Kizz Daniel Shuts Down Rumors of Court-Ordered Account Freeze

Afrobeats star Kizz Daniel has cleared the air after a viral report claimed a court ordered his personal and business accounts frozen over a contract dispute.

The online buzz suggested the Buga crooner was fined €200,000 for skipping a show despite pocketing a $50,000 advance — with his Access Bank accounts allegedly sealed by court order.

Kizz Daniel’s camp says otherwise.
In a statement released on Thursday, September 25, 2025, his management called the story “false, misleading, and a deliberate attempt to tarnish the artist’s reputation.”

“Kizz Daniel has no such case in court, and no accounts have been frozen. We urge fans, partners, and the general public to disregard this fabricated story,” the team stressed.

The singer, they added, is fully focused on making music and thrilling fans with his upcoming shows.

Taking action against fake news
Kizz Daniel’s management also promised to go after those spreading the fake report.

“This isn’t the first time he’s been a target of baseless rumours, but distractions like this won’t stop him from delivering quality music to his fans worldwide,” they said.

Where the drama started
The camp traced the controversy back to Afrobeats Meets Berlin 2022. According to them, the event promoter used Kizz Daniel’s name, image, and likeness — along with other stars — to hype ticket sales for a festival that never even happened.

“Kizz Daniel was ready to perform,” the statement explained, “but the promoter failed to uphold his own obligations.” That mix-up, they say, has now been twisted into fake reports against the singer.
