Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi has delivered a firm message to Nigeria international Ademola Lookman, stressing that the winger must demonstrate total commitment before being reintegrated into the squad.
La Dea’s campaign has been clouded by Lookman’s transfer saga, after the 27-year-old reportedly attempted to force a move to Serie A rivals Inter Milan during the summer window. He subsequently missed two weeks of training and has yet to reclaim his spot in the team.
While acknowledging Lookman’s talent, Percassi underlined that playing for Atalanta demands complete focus.
“We all know how good he is, but to play for Atalanta, you must be 100% focused,” the club chief told reporters. “When he’s ready, we’ll be waiting for him with open arms.”
Concerns over Lookman’s training attitude have grown in recent weeks, with head coach Ivan Juric making it clear he will not plead with the winger to return.
