Manchester United have officially opened negotiations with German side RB Leipzig for the potential transfer of highly-rated striker Benjamin Sesko.
The 22-year-old forward has emerged as a top target for the Red Devils, but Leipzig is reportedly demanding a fee between €80 million and €90 million for the Slovenian international.
Sesko’s impressive form has not gone unnoticed, with Premier League side Newcastle United also showing strong interest in securing his services this summer.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are also keeping tabs on Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins. The 29-year-old, who boasts proven Premier League experience, is seen as a more affordable alternative should the Sesko deal fall through.
The club is actively exploring attacking reinforcements ahead of the new season, aiming to bolster their front line after a mixed 2024/25 campaign
